Bio
Isabelle Schiltz was born and raised in Virton, Belgium. She completed a Master degree in English and Dutch Languages and Literature at the University of Brussels. During her university years, she was introduced to the use of her voice by Roy Hart member, Joseph Clark, with whom she studied. She finalized her university studies with a thesis questioning themes of identity and chaos in the work of the writer Paul Auster and the artist Sophie Calle. She then moved to Amsterdam and started a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, specializing her practice in Performance. She has collaborated musically with various musicians and vocal performers. During her curriculum, she took part in an exchange semester at the Performance Department of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In July 2011, she graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. She is currently working and living in the north of Norway.
